Lyla has a secret....

Around this time two years ago, we were planning for the arrival of our sweet Lyla Rae. This year, we are planning for something (or rather SOMEONE) else....

Yes, that's right...we are having another baby!!! At the end of this week, I will be in my second trimester! Our due date is January 18, 2014.

Lyla loves babies, so I am positive she will be so happy about this new addition:)

Last weekend, while I was in Georgia, we took her to Baby Land General, where all the Cabbage Patch Babies are born. She was in Heaven. I think she played with every baby there.  (I have to add this because it was so cute: they made Tootles wear a visitor pass in the "hospital" He had a tag and everything!)

My parents took Jess and I when we were little and things have changed a bit, but one thing remained the same..they still allow you to see "Mother Cabbage" have a baby. It is so sweet as you watch them give her a big shot of "imagicillion" and allow the audience to name the baby. Lyla watched very closely!

The baby born that day was a boy. It will be a neat story to tell if our little one happens to be a boy. We won't find out until August what we are having, but we will DEFINITELY find out! We will absolutely adore either!

One lady actually mistook Lyla for one of the baby dolls and kept going on and on about beautiful she is. You know we think so too:)

My parents bought Lyla her very first cabbage patch doll. Lyla decided to name her Claudia after Mr. Claude Haney who brings us strawberries every spring. (Claudia has a strawberry on her shirt..and Mom might have had some input on the name) But Lyla was able to "adopt" her and had to promise to love her everyday and hug and kiss her everyday!

It was such a sweet experience! I know Lyla is going to love her new brother or sister so much!

So....SURPRISE! LYLA IS GOING TO BE A BIG SISTER!!!!!!! More updates coming soon:)

Lyla's first hair cut -May 4, 2013

Well, our internet has been down and then I couldn't find my USB to upload my pictures, so this has been a long time coming.

Lyla got her first haircut on May 4, 2013. It was really just for her bangs because they were always in her face and then a little off the back. We asked our dear friend Ashlea to do it. She cuts our hair and we knew Lyla would probably do better with someone she knew. We were absolutely right. Lyla was a star! She sat so still and didn't cry once....neither did I:) Here are a few pictures from that special day!

Happy Summer everyone!

Easter

Happy Easter.
We wanted to share with you how we celebrated with our family and friends this year.

Our celebration started on Thursday-with my three little ones. We started off making resurrection rolls. I found the recipe on Pinterest and was able to tell the kids all about Jesus dying on the cross and rising from the dead while we baked them.

They were such great helpers.

Lyla and Easton were so faithful to wait by the stove until they were finished.

After their nap, we had a party...complete with our rolls, cookies, cupcakes and chips (everyone's favorites!)

Afterwards we colored and painted and then they all crashed on their little couch.

My parents got here Friday. We were so excited to have them for Easter. They were such a big help getting things ready for our big egg hunt saturday!

Saturday, we invited Lyla's friends over for some treats and an egg hunt. I think everyone had a great time:)

She cracked me up opening up each egg one at a time to get the candy out first!

Easter morning, the Easter bunny came...

We had such a great weekend with my family...it is always so wonderful to have them here.

Since Addi and her family were there this morning, we decided to recreate our pictures from last year...crazy how much they have changed in just one year.

We hope everyone had a wonderful Easter. The candy and activities are fun, but remember today we celebrate our risen savior. So thankful that He loved me enough to die for me-He loved you enough to die for you too...no matter what you have done, or where you have been, He loves you!!! Happy Easter everyone!!!!
